EDITOR/PUBLISHER - Rachael Hall



Rachael Hall and her husband Trenton have enjoyed all the opportunities living in South Central Texas have afforded them.  Rachael holds a degree in Corporate Communication from The University of Houston and enjoys bringing her readers vibrant pictures and poignant editorial features from around the region. Trenton, who graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin University coaches Track and Cross Country at Brenham High School.  In their free time they enjoy traveling, biking, visiting friends and family, and volunteering in their community.

Favorite thing about South Central Texas LIVE: Seeing peoples' faces light up when they read stories about people and places they are familiar with. I love bringing this region to life through the inspiring stories and fabulous photography.

 

 




MANAGING EDITOR - Veronica Smith



Veronica Smith graduated with a degree in Accounting from LeTorneau University. She and her husband Jordan, an engineer, enjoy living in the region.  Veronica is the spoke in the LIVE wheel.  Veronica is responsible for ad design, material placement and internal communication. If you have a question, Veronica probably has an answer! Veronica and her husband have enjoyed remodeling their vintage home which is always open to lots of family and friends. 

Favorite thing about South Central Texas LIVE: Creating each new issue from scratch. I love to help design each new ad and place each new feature in the magazine.

 

 




CREATIVE ART DIRECTOR- Lorraine Vogel

 

Lorraine Vogel is the Creative Art director for South Central Texas LIVE.  With over 25 years of experience in the graphics design industry and a degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Lorraine sculpts each issue of LIVE into a beautiful work of art. No visual detail goes unnoticed as Lorraine works to showcase South Central Texas at its best.  Lorraine is an avid athlete and, along with her husband and son, enjoys a variety of sporting events. In her free time she can be found creating beautiful handcrafted jewelry.

 

 

 

 




ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE- Josh Painter

 

 

Josh Painter serves as an account Executive for South Central Texas LIVE.  Josh graduated Texas A&M class of ’03 with a degree in Business Administration.  Josh is very active in the Bryan/College Station area and has enjoyed doing business with his fellow Aggies throughout the years. 

 

 

 

 




CONTRIBUTING WRITER- Natalie Lang

 

 

Natalie Lacy Lange has a journalism degree from the University of Texas and is currently teaching writing at Brenham Junior High. Besides teaching and photography, she spends her time renovating her 130-year old house, affectionately called the “Shady Acre”, with her husband Harper.

 

 

 

 




CONTRIBUTING WRITERS- Clover & Rachel Carrol

 

 

Clover and Rachel Carroll are BACK AT THE RANCH, the exciting group that delivers a swinging blend of Western Swing and Country music. Clover and Rachel also write and produce “The Ranch Road Show.” The Carrolls have a deep-seated love for Texas history and the rich heritage of South Central Texas. In their free-time they are often found poking around historical sites and markers looking for new ‘little known facts’ of the area so they can bring them to you in the next feature of Down the Road.

 

 

 

 

 




CONTRIBUTING WRITER- Sharon Brass

 

 

Sharon Brass and husband Barry own the Parcel Plus store located in Brenham.  Together they have forged lasting relationships with community leaders and business men and women providing them with virtual office space, packaging and shipping needs, and marketing solutions.  Sharon has a great love of people, and is always looking for “The Story Behind the Story.”  Sharon’s personal profiles and feature articles always bring such an interesting and entertaining perspective on life throughout the region.

 

 

 

 




FOOD EDITOR- Kathleen Whately

 

 

Kathleen Whately began her career in the food business with an antique shop in Round Top called The Madhatter Tea Room. Her good food and gracious hospitality became famous in the area and her restaurant was listed in Country Living Magazine and photographed in Southern Living. Kathleen is now the owner of Good Things catering company, and serves as private chef to several clients who host B&B guests, retreats, parties and weddings.
